Chat requests and messages never stop on Fetlife no matter if you fill in your profile or put up a pic. Women are money-hungry and they make it through chatting. There are a few sites that don't hire women to chat, like ***** (it's relatively easy to have a real date there with a genuine girl, especially if you chose an age-appropriate lady whose photos are not over photo-shopped). But Fetlife company operates on this nasty business model where they cooperate with local agencies which offer women a compensation for correspondence. Otherwise, why would 18 year old glamorous models bombard a 50 year old truck-driver with sexy messages? Don't believe this sweet illusion fellows!

A very adult dating website, and (even moreso than other dating sites) definitely not one to let your children see. Most features are free, including messaging other people, but some more advanced features including videos require a subscription of $5/month, or a one-off payment of $240 for life. But it does what it promises so I guess I can't complain. :)

This site is a social network type of site for adults who are into kink, BDSM, D/s and M/s relationships and the like. It fills that role very well. It also has many, many groups that specialize in various areas of interest. These groups serve to connect people as well as to pass on information and education.If you are into these areas of interest and activity this is a good site to join. However, if these areas and frank discussion of sexuality offends you it would be best if you just pass it by.

People are stepping around the issue by describing this as an 'adult site'. It goes a bit further than that. The fetishes include eating feces, eating animal feces, being beaten while bound in a garbage bag, 'blood soaked blowj*bs', 'grabbed by the hair to suck a horse co*ck' and so on. This site is an extreme example of potential wish fulfillment by a community with few fetters, and some of the 'fantasies' espoused are actually illegal (bestial*ty, actual real slavery, forcing people to eat feces). I'm not voting against it, and this comment is marked as 'Other', but I just wanted to leave this note here in case people thought this was a 'normal' adult site.

I think that says it all. I also think the folks running the site do as excellent a job as possible at making the site as child safety as they can in that it's restricted to adult users. And anyone allowing their children access to adult content that they find objectionable should be held responsible.

This is an excellent site. The people tend to be friendly and open-minded, and you can learn a lot from them. I've also made a couple of great real-life friends by interacting here. Now, a word on "child safety" and sites like these. Yes, children should not be browsing the internet all by themselves, but to say that a site like this is not safe for children simply because if its "adult content" is just plain ludicrous. Children are not born with intrinsic problems with sexuality. Many adults have those problems because we were steadily indoctrinated into impractical, mainstream ways of thought which create to repressive, unhealthy views of sex and the body. Children only emulate the behaviors of their parents, and they would not grow up to have such problems with concepts of human nature and personal preference if they were not raised that way. Honestly, people. There is a big difference between our various cultural neuroses and reality.
