Joanelle POV

In the empty hallway stands the new recuit.

Spider-Cop.

Appearing at the door, he stops, looking at me with a raised eyebrow. Seeing Hobie on the other side he makes his presence known. Turning his head Spider-Cop starts to sweat.

"Wait! Wait-"

Pulling out his guitar, I grab his hands, holding him down, Hobbie aims his guitar for his neck. Stopping an inch away from the Spider-Cop, he pisses himself, making me chuckle a bit. Hearing the footsteps of other, Hobie grabs my arm, swinging us away with laughter in the air.

He and I have become partners in crime, but now, I have to visit my buddy Pavitr. The third pea to our pod.

Dropping me off, we act natural as we go our separate ways. Seeing Pavtir in the training area, I smile, looking up at him jumping around.

"JOY!"

Landing, I engulf him in a tight hug, "I bare gifts Pavitir!"

Letting me go, I show him my empty hand, allowing them to reappear to reveal a thermos covered in smiley face stickers.

"The finest Chai from earth-888, from the highest forest in the world, where the first mutants were made, and the Norse gods landed to seek rest from the trials of war and hardships."

He grows excited since I've been raving about it since we first had tea together. Personally, I like raspberry or butterfly pea, but he's warmed me up to the spiced tea. Pouring him a glass he slips off his mask, taking a sip, I smile, pleased at his joyful expression.

Tossing him a small bag he smiles, "Is this what I think it is?"

"You know it."

The tea leaves itself, continuing our conversation, I see Spider-Cop and a group of other Spide people.

"GET HER!"

Grabbing Pavitir, I yank him along, "RUN!"

Running with me, we dodge a few of Spider-Cops friends. Splitting up, I hide away in Miguel's office. Jumping to his floating desk, I hide under his desk.

He looks down at me, "What are you doing?"

"Shhh, I'm hiding."

He sighs, "What did you do?"

Looking up at him I smile, before hiding away at the sound of footsteps. Miguel turns around to see Spider-Cop. Before he can say anything, Miguel's presence makes him hault and walk away. Out of sight, I jump on the man, kissing his cheek.

"Thank you Mi vida!"

Letting him go, he mumbles in Spanish, "Don't bully him."

"Awwwww."

Giving me a look, I turn my head, trying to avoid his disapproving gaze. It's been a minute since we first had sex, and a lot more nights followed as the months passed by. We don't have a official title but our dynamic has gotten stronger yet has stayed the same.

He is the grumpy cat, and I the cheerful dog.

I've even been trying to pick up Spanish from the grumpy man, mimicking his words as he fusses at Layla or the others. At first he was very annoyed but now, he just corrects me or fixes my pronunciation.

Being exposed to it, allows me to speak it a lot better, and watching his reaction as I speak his tongue makes it all worth it.

"Mi vida, ¿has comido hoy? ¿Cómo mantendrás ese culo sexy si eres piel y huesos? (My life, have you eaten today? How will you maintain that sexy ass if you are skin and bones?)"

He blushes, "Joanelle Traté de comer, pero Peter tenía hambre, el tiempo se me escapó. (Joanelle I tried to eat but Peter got hungry, time slipped away from me.)"

I gaps dramatically, "INACEPTABLE!"

A large cheese pizza and a water appear in hand. Placing the box in front of him I push the screens away. He tries to reach out to pull them back, but I smack his hand, stopping him.

"No!"

He frowns, grabbing his wrist I call Layla. Appearing she smiles, "Hello Joy!"

"Hey Bestie, shut down his computer stuff please, Miguel is on lunch break."

Migual shouts at her, "Don't you dare!"

She smiles, "I only listen to polite people."

Watching his computer shut down Layla waves goodbye, making Miguel groan. Opening the box, I take a slice munching on it. Giving me a irritated look, I blow him a kiss, causing him to sit down.

Finishing up my slice I de-dust my hand, walking over to him as he eats and swallows his slice, I lift his chin. Looking into my eyes, I peck his lips, "Buen chico~. (Good Boy)"

He looks away, watching him I feel my heart swell as the words slip from my lips.

"I love you."

He freezes, making me smile, "It's ok, you don't have to say it back. I've made up my mind long ago."

Standing I stretch my limb, "Make sure to finish up before working, I got a baby to sit on."

Slipping away, I leave him with his thoughts and a skip in my step.
