The SpongeBob SquarePants Anime, simply referred to as Suponjibobu (Japanese: スポンジ・ボブ Hepburn: Suponji Bobu, pronounced Spongey Bobbu) is an ongoing Japanese anime television series produced by Narmak Animations that began airing on Jul 23, 2020. Its overall plot outline is mainly based around the manga and anime created by Narmak and is built around Narmak's ideas on what would happen if SpongeBob was an anime. At first the series of Openings were a joke until Narmak decided to actually make episodes for the show.

The anime centers around protagonist SpongeBob SquarePants as he tries to save his best friend Squidward Tentacles from the clutches of Sheldon Plankton who has decided that in order to beat SpongeBob joining the enemy is the only option to defeat him. At some point SpongeBob's best friend Patrick dies in combat and a Green Hooded Man who has the same body type takes his place. Some say that there will be a mystery element to this show revolving around this new character. This show considered to be a lot more bloody and violent than most SpongeBob spin-offs, and as a result the rating was bumped up to a TV-14 rating.

Transcript

Bubble Bass has come to the Krusty Krab in order to soil the good name of the restraunt. He has stolen all the pickles in order to drive Mr. Krabs to bankruptcy by the orders of Plankton and the Chum Five. Patrick tells himself the story of the Ugly Barnacle which highlights later events that have yet to come. Patrick views SpongeBob and Squidward as two sides of the side coin which means that the two have yet to fight each other in order to prove their strength.

Bubble Bass is attempting to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula in order to mock SpongeBob by calling him FpongeBob. Squidward has decided that this is his chance to land an award by defeating Bubble Bass. What will cause the decline of Squidward and SpongeBob's friendship?

Trivia/Goofs[]

There will be 10-20 episodes.
There will be new Opening and Ending Theme songs at the end of the each Season.
Re-imagining of SpongeBob SquarePants that while mostly doing its own thing is rooted in the pre-movie episodes.
There were two previous versions of the anime that existed on this wiki, both were known for poor quality. The old SpongeBob SquarePants Anime article posted on the SBSP Fanon Wiki known as Angel X SpongeBob was considered moesh*t without a plot and the Bootleg SpongeBob SquarePants (Anime TV Series) which was a convoluted edgefilled Evangelion/Xenogears inspired mess that tried to mix Narmak's storyline with new original elements (Arcs involving EVIL and Atlantis) that were poorly written.
There is the anime on Fiction Foundry which is the same as the bootleg/Narmak except it is in the process of being rewritten.
There may be three openings made by Narmak and another opening by another animation studio. Despite this, there is only one season of the SpongeBob anime at least as of now.
Due to it being deleted, Narmak was given a copyright strike, it came back however he had to change the name so he wouldn't get Copyright.
